I've been going to Ding Ho since the 1980s, and it's still there today. I can't imagine a time when it wasn't. It's one of my favorite places for quick and delicious takeout. I used to work on Lincoln Street, and I'd often bring food back to the office and eat it there. I can't wait to go back and visit Ding Ho and enjoy their yummy and delicious food again.

Ding Ho is back open every day! After a spell of being closed Sundays, I was glad to find them open again one Sunday. it is $5 for a small combo or $7 for a large combo. Both come with your choice of carb base (fried rice, lo mein, Singapore noodle, or white rice), and one choice for small or two choices for a large. Choices on this day were between two veggie (broccoli, tofu) and two chicken (curry, and chicken and onion). I opted for the chicken and onion, and the broccoli. she let me split the carb base, so I got fried rice and lo mein. The portion was generous, and everything tasted satisfactory. Their new hours are 8am - 5pm. *** I like getting their steamed rice noodles which come with optional sesame seed sprinkle and sauce packets. They also let me swap it in for the carb base for my combo when I asked. Cash Only.

Ding Ho feels like a blast from the past - a tiny restaurant on the corner of Chinatown with some crazy cheap prices and huge portions of fried chinese takeout. I visited on a weekday for lunch and left with takeout containers in-hand about 2 minutes later. The woman working the front counter was nice and friendly, offering me some vinegar and sriracha topping for my food. I ended up ordering some dumplings and vegetable lo mein, both which could easily feed 2 people for less than $10. The food itself was tasty and filling, and I especially enjoyed the dumplings which were clearly not pre-frozen. I'll definitely be back for some more cheap eats!

An absolute steal in Boston. A full box of noodles or rice and your choice of side for $5 or two sides and main for $7. Such a steal and a staple for both students near by or for people looking to now splurge on a quick and delicious meal. Service is quick, the lady is always so sweet. Ambiance is a tiny corner shop with no seating, it's more take out style.

Saw this place on TikTok when we were planning a trip to Boston. It is right by the hotel we are staying at so we stopped by before checking in. We each got one of the $5 small plates and these were delicious. You definitely get the bang for your buck and they are extremely generous portions. We were very filled. It wasn't busy when we stopped by so we got to quickly order our food and leave. It's a yummy spot to try the next time you are in Chinatown.

Ding Ho is an institution. A restaurant so storied it rivals almost Harvard or MIT. It's so clear that this place is a gem among the city of Boston that it deserves a national historic plaque. What made it special was I went in at 5:30 30 min after closing and they were hesitant but very gracious in giving me food. For $5 it was some of the most flavorful hand pulled noodles and dumplings I've ever had. The lady was super nice - cash only so I gave her a hefty tip too. This is what I mean when I love a hole in the wall restaurant. This kind of culture and tradition in a city that values clean profit and the bottom line. It shows the value you get from this place. Overall will come here again when in Chinatown, highly highly recommend!!

Ding Ho is an institution. Sure it looks dumpy and run-down and being Asian I grew up grabbing food here when I was dirt poor because the prices are dirt cheap. Of course, over the years Ding Ho has increased its prices but it's still cheap compared to other Chinese fast-food joints in Chinatown. Honestly, not every food item here is out of this world however, you can never go wrong getting the steamed rice rolls. That is something that has always been excellent on the menu. After all these years, Ding Ho is the one place where their steamed rice roll is undeniably the best, and there are plenty of people who will agree with me on that. This is the ONLY way to enjoy this dish is it's a must to sauced up with everything, sesame paste, sriracha, sesame seeds, and m soy sauce. It needs to be swimming in all that sauce mixture and you need to mix it thoroughly to enjoy it. If not, you're doing it ALL wrong! Come get some steamed rice rolls, it's that damn good.

I recently tried the quick take-out Chinese food spot, and it's a hidden gem for cheap eats. The braised pork belly is a standout, boasting rich flavors and melt-in-your-mouth tenderness. The egg rolls are a delightful addition, crispy on the outside and filled with a tasty blend of ingredients. This place offers a satisfying and budget-friendly option for those craving delicious Chinese cuisine on the go.
